THERAPY FOR DEPRESSION

This is a very personal attack on our will and our mindset.

We know ourselves better than anyone else does, and yet there are times when we do not know why we feel the way we do, why we are in slow motion without drive or why we choose nothing over everything else, even eating. The best medicine for this is to help our brain make sense to itself, not have someone tell you how to think and feel but open our mind to making sense of it all according to our personal identity and values. 

The root of depression can be from such a wide variety that we are sometimes unaware of it ourselves. It can be helpful to work through the thought patterns and body feelings with someone who has a different perspective, in order to define the thing we need to help us fight through. To gain a positive outcome there are a few things we can use to get moving like pattern disruption, defining moods and feelings, and behavioral activation. Those are a few of the text book type pathways available to us. 

I use a self made mix of evidence based therapies to create a pathway I have experienced. For me it drove depression away and led to peace and a healthy mindset. Parts included in this pathway are linked to CBT, ACT, and EMDR. The mind is a powerful thing, sometimes we need to retrain it so that power can be healthy.
